EMDR Intensive Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain finally process the experiences that still have a grip on you. Instead of one hour a week for months, an EMDR Intensive concentrates that same work into focused, extended sessions — a Prep Talk to get oriented and build safety, the Intensive itself, and a Debrief to integrate what came up. Offered 100% virtually across Iowa, Florida, Delaware, and Wisconsin.

What it can help with

Frequently asked

What actually happens during an EMDR Intensive?

We start with a Prep Talk — getting oriented, building safety, and mapping what we'll focus on. The Intensive itself is extended, focused EMDR reprocessing work. Afterward, a Debrief session helps you integrate what came up and plan next steps.

Do I have to describe every detail of what happened to me?

No. EMDR doesn't require you to narrate every detail out loud. You stay in control of what you share and how much, the whole way through.

Is virtual EMDR as effective as in-person EMDR?

Yes — EMDR adapts well to secure video sessions, and I work with clients by telehealth exclusively. What matters most is the structure and the relationship, both of which translate fully to virtual care.

Do you still see clients weekly, or only for Intensives?

I'm moving toward an Intensives-only model. If you're looking for ongoing weekly support instead, reach out and we can talk about whether an Intensive, or a referral, is the better fit.
